What a boiler service is for
An annual boiler service is a safety and condition check, not simply a quick visual inspection. The appliance is examined and tested in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and relevant gas-safety requirements.

- Visual condition of the boiler and flue
- Operating checks and combustion analysis where required
- Safety devices and controls
- Signs of leakage, corrosion or deterioration
- Relevant gas-pressure or rate checks
- Service record completion
Keeping warranties valid
Many boiler warranties require annual servicing by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Keep your service record with the appliance documentation and arrange the next visit before the anniversary date.
Issues found during servicing
If a fault or worn component is identified, we explain the finding and any recommended repair. Additional work or parts are discussed separately.
